Certificate in Christian Ministry (120 credits) Level 4

The course content for this programme includes components that offer students a range of courses designed to provide a sound foundation for the work of Christian ministry. This programme is classroom based teaching with some aspects of practical ministry. It offers the flexibility of studying either full time or part time or part time by audit.

Students studying full time can complete this programme in one year. The College has two intakes a year, one in February (Semester One) and another one in July (Semester Two). Students studying full time may be eligible for student loans and allowances.

Part time students can select from the list of subjects offered as shown in the time table below. Students studying part time must check with Study Link if you are eligible for loans and allowances.

A third option is studying part time by audit which means that you attend the lectures but do not complete any assignments. Usually these students select just a few course components of interest from this programme. As no credits are gained, no qualification can be awarded when this option is selected.

Course Components include the following:

  • Biblical overviews of the Old and New Testament
  • In depth studies on selected books
  • Interpreting Scripture
  • Spiritual Formation
  • Doctrine overview (including a Pentecostal perspective)
  • Communication and preaching skills
  • Leadership development
  • Pastoral Care
  • Ministry skills
