Our Values

Bible college student Auckland Meeks

Christian

All activities and relationships should reflect biblical views of people, God and life purpose. Staff serve and minister out of a growing personal relationship with God, demonstrating a Christian lifestyle by example.

Community

The College desires that both students and staff perceive the College to be a community rather than an institution, and for them to have a sense of belonging, commitment, support, and life-long association.

Communication

The College operates in a climate of open channels between management, faculty and students. Dialogue is welcome at all levels between all parties. Negative issues are to be resolved positively and quickly.

Cooperation

The College encourages internal and external networks for sharing expertise, resources, ideas and projects.

Creativity

The College is open to examining new concepts, processes and technological advances. It seeks to integrate valuable traditions within new contexts.

Challenge

The College strives for excellence in all areas via continual improvement, but also recognises the need for realistic levels of achievement. Acceptance of failure and using it for growth is viewed as a positive attribute.

Church Commitment

Full time staff are to be committed to their local Elim church, and support it through giving, prayer and attendance at leadership meetings. Students are to be committed to a local church of their choice and fully support it.

Continuous Learning

The College desires to create and foster an attitude of continuous learning in the students in recognition of the importance of life-long learning as a key life skill.
